		HISTORY

		Establishment of a Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre was the dream of a lady Ma Ayesha who got paralyzed and her life restricted to the Wheel Chair. Ma Ayesha was very keen to initiate services for the persons who have similar type of disability. The sight of his mother confined to a wheel and her interest to establishment of such type of facility inspired Mr. Ahmed Abdullah, her only son, to come forward to transform the dream her mother’s dream into reality. Mr. Ahmed Abdullah made some concrete efforts and on the happy occasion of Ma Ayesha’s 100th Birthday in March 1988 he announced the establishment of Ahmed Abdullah Foundation. Ahmed Abdullah Foundation after doing all necessary preliminary work and making arrangements, in the year 1989, established Ma Ayesha Memorial Centre at the centre of the city, which is accessible for all from all corners. Today we are proud to say that Ma Ayesha Memorial Centre is very well known as a leading Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre for all type of Neurological diseases as well as Neuro- muscular disorders. Our Vision To become a hi-tech state-of-the-art Educational and Rehabilitation Institute for Neurological Diseases and Allied Health Sciences where all the required facilities would be available under one roof, with extensive welfare activities. Our Mission To provide best available Rehabilitation Services to the patients suffering from chronic neurological diseases and create awareness among the society in general and professional associated with the Neuro-rehab field as well as relatives of patients in particular so that they may be able make useful contribution towards the independence of such type of patients. These best services are available under one roof and are offered to all groups of patients suffering from Neurological disorders requiring short term and long term rehabilitation with taking into consideration of their socioeconomic status.
